Physicist, expert on the Conservation and Safety of Cultural Heritage. As a researcher at CNR (the Italian National Research Council), he has worked on environmental analysis, developing techniques for evaluating the probability of surface condensation and the constant monitoring of thermo-hygrometric profiles in proximity to walls. He is interested in problems concerning the presence of humidity in wall structures, developing some measuring instruments. He has also coordinated various research committees and operational units as part of strategic CNR projects. A tenured professor at various universities, he has taught courses on environmental technical physics, the thermo-physical properties of materials, energy certification, durability and conservation of materials. He holds four patents and is the author of 70 publications.
