On Saturday, 28 December, 2013, the Special Superintendency for the Archaeological Heritage of Rome is participating once again in the event “Una Notte al Museo” (A Night at the Museum), a project conceived by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and of Tourism, which provides for a monthly special night opening, from 20.00 to 24.00, of the sites of excellence from among all the nationally designated museums and archaeological areas under its protection.
Our Superintendency will thus ensure the special opening of the four seats of the National Roman Museum (Palazzo Massimo, the Baths of Diocletian, Palazzo Altemps and the Crypta Balbi) until Midnight. (Please note that last admission is at 23.00, one hour prior closing time.)
In coincidence with another initiative of the Ministry, granting free entrance to all the National Heritage sights for the whole day of Saturday 28 December, admission will be free of charge also in the aforementioned seats of the Museum open until Midnight.
Furthermore, in some of them, free concerts or guided tours will be held. (Entrance is subject to availability.)
