On Friday, 21 December 2012, the Special Superintendency for the Archaeological Heritage of Rome inaugurated the opening of the Subterraneans of the Baths of Caracalla

Art celebrates your Birthday

Free Admission

The Promotion grants a free admission to the public sites of Culture for Italian and European Union citizens on their birthday, upon presentation of a suitable document at the ticket office. 

In case the birthday coincides with the day of closure of the sites, the ticket will be valid for the following day.

Visitors belonging to the categories already eligible for reductions will receive a free ticket for a companion to whom such reductions are not already granted.

Special opening

Also this year the Special Superintendency for the Archaeological Heritage of Rome is taking part in the European Night of Museums (the great European event aimed at fostering and spreading knowledge of Cultural Heritage among the widest number of citizens) by granting free entry from 20.00 to 24.00 to the sites listed below.

Special opening

From 2 May to 2 November 2013, every Thursday and Saturday, the Special Superintendency for the Archaeological Heritage of Rome will hold the event "The Moon over the Colosseum: night tours to the Flavian Amphitheatre".

Tours available in Italian and English.

Duration of the tours: 75 minutes

Opening Hours: 20.20 to 24.00 (last admission at 22.45);

Tickets (Colosseum + Subterraneans): full price 20 euro, reduced 18 euro.
