From December 22^nd to January 5^th, the Amphitheater will house, along the passageway to reach the ticket office, in the atmospheric scenery of a medieval crypt provided of a manger, a big Neapolitan crib. This work will be made by Ferrignos, a family of craftsmen working in Naples since 1836, who are among the masters of terracotta crafts and whose production is inspired to the XVIII century Naples.

After months of work and research the halls of the “Ideal Scultptures”, on the first floor of the museum,open to the public with a new display. The masterpieces of Ancient Sculptures shine now a new light,  in a new space which helps to understand their historical and emotional value. The new exhibition system immerse the visitors in the artistic culture of Ancient Rome,which was inspired by the Ancient Greece art.

Since Saturday 12 March and until Sunday 30 October, on the initiative of the Special Superintendency for Archaeological Heritage of Rome in collaboration with the Licensee Society Pierreci, the Colosseum has proposed once again the educational service of guided tour of the subterraneans and the third level. These are the areas recently made ​​safe and open to the public thanks to the  interventions coordinated by the Commissioner delegated for the implementation of emergency interventions in the archaeological sites of Rome and Ancient Ostia.
