From 26 June on, new appointments with APPIAPPIEDI (Appian Way on Foot), a programme of guided tours including a stroll along the Appian Way from the Villa of the Quintilii to the Mausoleum of Caecilia Metella and Villa of Capo di Bove, seat of the photographic exhibition La Via Appia.

The Special Superintendency for the Archaeological Heritage of Rome is taking part in the European Heritage Days by granting free admission to its museums and archaeological areas as well as by providing numerous cultural events such as special guided tours.

Booking for guided tours, which is mandatory, will only be available at the ticket office on the same day (not in advance) and on a "first-come, first-served" basis.

From 25 June to 17 September, every Saturday, it is possible to visit also in the evening the section of the exhibition dedicated to the Emperor Nero located at the Colosseum. 

The guided tours will start every ten minutes from 20.30 to 23.00 and will proceed through the arches and terraces of the monument, providing the opportunity to visit the subterraneans.
